I figured with the activity and living in a seismic zone I would check and see if I was covered.
She is getting me quotes, said it usually is DOUBLE your annual rate for contents and structure. My home is a few years old so my rates should be pretty good, I think I want structural.

I have it in NH.  It costs less than $20 per 6 months.  That rate is probably because we're not exactly seismically active.

Might look into it. Probably costs about $10 per 6 months around here.

We have seismic insurance, and it added a LOT our policy cost.  (high risk earthquake zone)

No, no neccesary in Houston.

Flood insurance on the other hand is pretty smart here.

The only earthquake I've experienced was a 0.3.
Lasted about two seconds and if I hadn't read that the local fault had gone active, I would have thought it was a truck driving by.

Was quoted $1700 / year and $30,000 deductible. Yesterday. Bay Area.

Yes.  Full coverage after a 5% deductible.

Was quoted $900 with a 30K deductible when I lived in Northern Kalifornia about 10 years ago, did not purchase.

Nope.
No flood insurance either.

I live on top of a hill outside Hobbs New Mexico. Not much moves around here.
