Those two dogs were rescued:

http://www.thedenverchannel.com/news/27219133/detail.html
Both dogs were found alive in Mito, Ibarak, a city on Japan's eastern
coast, northeast of Tokyo.   The two dogs were rescued, thanks to the
efforts of Japan Earthquake Animal Rescue and Support.  The dogs were first taken to a vet clinic in Mito and then to a shelter in the same area.

Some dogs are more human than actual humans.

Good to hear that they were both rescued.

Was there enough humanity to help the dog, or was this a "touchy, feely" story and the reporter drove off? Nevermind, good ending.

There are numerous allergy free dogs out there... My neighbor has a Goldendoodle or try a Labradoodle.... Might want to hang out with one for a bit, just to be sure first.

That is a Brittany.

That is why I have not one, but two.

I would rescue that dog in a heartbeat.  The one we picked up last year is a rescue.  SAMPSON is sweet as you could ever imagine although he won't hunt like our youngest CLYDE.

No offense to lovers of other breeds, but Britts are about the nicest dogs you are gonna find anywhere and they will hunt all day.

Field, water, feather or fur.  A Britt will do it all day long.  Only dog in the world that will do all that and POINT too!

or the dog that sat out by the entrance to his owners farm. only the owner died, so the dog would be sitting there forever.
