Expect some very aggressive enforcement in the proper manner to justify that joke of an administrative body's exisistence. In 2 years when the heat is off, they'll be back making more interpretations on fucking shoelaces and gunshow stings.

Should we mandate gun owners store firearms in a safe?

Whatever..

What's a couple hundred guns when the ATF themselves offloads them to criminals by the thousands and nobody does anything about it..

I wish they were just criminals instead of well funded cartel mercenaries.  I wonder how many Mexicans, Americans, and Law Enforcement have been murdered by cartel gunmen with ATF provided firepower.

I think we are chasing after the wrong criminals.

no, but if you're stupid enough not to take some precaution to secure them from thief, then you shouldn't be crying on a gunboard  about your guns being stolen.

More cliff notes

the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office (RCSO), and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) initiated Operation Fox Hunt in August of 2009.  Undercover RCSO deputies posed as members of the Augusta community interested in purchasing guns and drugs from the criminal element. During the operation, undercover officers purchased or recovered over 192 firearms, including handguns, rifles, assault rifles and sawed-off shotguns; and, approximately $75,000 worth of illegal drugs, including marijuana, cocaine and ecstasy pills. Many of the individuals who allegedly sold firearms and drugs to the undercover agents are convicted felons. In addition, a number of the guns purchased by undercover agents were reported stolen.
