Just wondering. I love Tuna in general.

Tuna salad sandwiches or pitas with lettuce and tomatoes are a favorite of mine. I never have and I never will understand the hate some people have for canned tuna. I'd do almost anything for a good grilled tuna steak. |

Now, fresh tuna, grilled or served as sushi or sashami, is a thing of beauty. |

Tuna Steaks are AWESOME.
30 seconds a side, seared in teriyaki sauce. |
|
Had one medium that was still awesome.....the balsamic mushroom sauce was wow.
|
|
depends. we talkin bout fresh tuna just outa the sea? then hell ya. I love me some tuna steaks. as a matter of fact I am hearing reports of tuna being caught to the north and south of me this past week. I am itching to go huntin for em.

Lightly seared sushi grade tuna is awesome.
30 seconds per side is too much. More like 10 seconds a side. Just enough to sear it and not to cook it. Tuna in general is quite acceptable to me. CJ |

I love tuna in all forms, but especially high grade tuna. Raw, or barely cooked.

Tuna is great. Yellowfin, mahi-mahi, pretty much all of them. Swordfish, halibut, and any other ocean carnivorous fish are excellent as well.
If it comes in a can, you can keep it. Tunafish (one word) is the singularly most nasty food in the universe. The only way to make it worse is to cook it. I have nightmares over Tuna Helper. Seriously. |

Cheap can of tuna + some mayo + 2 pieces of bread = a frigging sandwich.
Whats not to love about that? |
|
There is a world of differance between the nasty cat food grade canned tuna and canned white albacore. I love tuna but when it comes to canned I only eat water packed white albacore.

Sometimes I like it with a piece of melted cheese on the toast, sometimes I like it plain. Tuna is one of those things that I only eat every 2-3 months, but I enjoy it when I do. |

I like dolphin better.
For some reason tuna caught in the waters a little north of where I live gets big bucks from Japanese fish buyers (or they did). Don't know what type they are catching, but buddy of mine sport fishes that area and tells me stories of people selling their tuna they catch for thousands of $. |

Sure, many ways to fancy it up. Whip out the pan and make some tuna melts, for example. |

Might I input....
TUNA MELT!! Done in a cast iron pan, with white bread and lots of butter!! But lately, in the effort to lose weight I am eating a 2 or 3 serving can of tuna mixed in with a Lean Cuisine for lunch. FUCKton of protein with little fat and all for 100 to 150 calories. |

We keep a bottle of soy sauce on the boat. Nothing is better than sushi cut off a still-flopping tuna.
Of course with fuel prices might be a while before we go out that far in the gulf. Looks like a lot more inshore this year, and kayak if it gets real bad. |

Try this exactly with some melted Butter on the bread. Weekly intake here. |

Raw. I love it raw. Yellowfin, white, big eye...all of it. Raw tuna with just a bit of wasabi...heavenly!

The quality of canned tuna has really gone down the toilet in the last several years.
I like tuna sandwiches, and I put tuna in my potato salad. |
|
I love Tuna in all it's forms.
It's My ideal sammich filler. A can of it unopened has a long shelf life where cold cuts go bad quickly. The Ol' Crew Chief |

White albacore in water for my canned tuna.
Fresh off the boat thick cut steaks for my dinners and sushi. |
|
Im part Japanese so the stuff is pretty much on the menu more than once a week. I love the shit...fresh, frozen canned whatever...ill eat it all

Canned tuna has excellent shelf life and is very economical. It's a great survival prep to have in stock.
If you catch them on sale, you can get cans for $0.10-0.50 per can. Shelf life is five years at a minimum. Tuna is full of protein as well. My survival stash always has a few cases of canned tuna. |

Love the stuff. Hell, I love just about everything that comes out of the ocean.
