Yes, because no one in a wheelchair could ever stand up for even 2 to 3 seconds.

Having spent 6 months in a wheelchair, that's not really all that odd to me since I could stand up fine, just couldn't walk more than 25 feet at the time, and that 25 feet was with a walker and great difficulty.  I never went shopping for booze though.

My Wife has MS.

Guees what. she can walk. . Yes she uses a wheelchair when she needs to. You wouldn't want to see the strugle that it is for her to walk. She's 46 ex high school cheerleader, was on the dance team at school.

Our mail box is 50 feet from the front door.  It's been 2 years since she could get the mail

MS has STOLEN my wife, my life, and my ability to earn good $$.

she used to work as a teacher, Her Masters degree  earned her a good sum. Well now she gets 1/3rd of it on disability.  Our health insurance used to be $150 a month...$now it's $1,300

I'm not able to spend as much time as a sales rep due to her needs. I'm earnig 1/3rd what I did 5 years ago ( yes, the economy has a part of it)

And yes we use the handicap parking

Relax a little once in a while, you know? Shit, do it for your blood pressure and cortisol levels. And honestly, stop being so predicable. Chill the fuck out, man. Relax.

My Mother spent the last several years of her life in and out of a wheelchair.  She could literally (barely) walk, but it was dangerous for her to do so.  A lot of those folks still have a shred of independence they would like to hang on to.

I get the humor, but just don't assume people like that are scamming.

Miss you Momma

I don't think I'd care to walk a mile in your shoes, although I suppose I should be willing if it could help you.

I learned a long time ago to never, ever, go around judging people who are using a wheelchair, walk funny, or are somehow crippled.  There but for the Grace of God go I.
