I presently use Time-Warner and am thinking about switching.  I get the following results from http://www.speedtest.net/:

Ping = 42 - 50 mS
Download Speed = 14.97 to 15.96 Mbps
Upload Speed = 0.91 to 0.94 Mbps

How is Verizon FiOS working?

Their lowest tier is 15/5.  From my bill:

FiOS Internet 15/5    54.99

They offer a 15/5, a 25/25, and a 50/20.

Mine just now:

That looks great.  Which level of service do you pay for?

I have the middle tier 25/25 plan. As you can see it is actually faster than what they advertise. I'm definitely satisfied with the service. I've had it for as long as its been available here and never once experienced any outages or other problems. as a matter of fact I've actually gotten speeds as high as 35Mbps at times.

I'm happy with my service, but I have to keep on top of the billing.  They are always trying to flim flam me with random miscellaneous charges.  I've stopped even calling them monthly about them, I pay the amount without the extra charges.

That's horrible latency, is it always like that?

No. I actually didn't even notice that.

I just ran the test again from the Sayreville, NJ server. Got 9ms this time.
