I think most of us here are defence minded individuals and so I am wandering what kind of knives do you carry for personal protection? I myself carry a Ken Onion Blackout, so far it has served me well, its been the fastest deploying box cutter I could ask for.

Befor you start screamin CCH we all know there are times and places where a gun just isn't feasable or even allowed.

Come on people. You all have it wrong and sound like a bunch of guys who drive rice burners. Ask your fathers and grandfathers what a knife is and they'll tell you you can't beat Buck's classic "Special" for strength and longevity at holding an edge. It will unzip a deer quicker than shit and if you're actually in a line of work where you use a "tactical" knife, jam this into the side of a guys neck from behind and push forward counter clockwise. You'll remove his head like that scene in the movie Proof of Life and you won't break your blade in the process.

If you have an old one hold on to it because they don't use steel like that in anymore in knife making.

I carry an old Benchmade Panther - one of their "cheapo" knives. It's been through hell and has only needed sharpening twice (including now).

I like the Sebenza, small or large, depending...

Anybody willing to carry a non-metallic knive on board an airplane these days?  The ultimate tactical anti-hijacker option...

Okay, what is the definition of "tactical" as it pertains to knives?  And is there is such a thing as a "tactical knife" can I presume that "strategic knives" also exist? [;)]

My S&W SWAT folder has yet to let me down, and it's been used and abused for about four years now.

I'm also a big fan of the Ka-Bar USMC fighter my dad gave me the Christmas before he died, both for practical and sentimental reasons.

I'm partial to Spider Holes, So the Benchmade 840 Assent half serrated, Black, is pretty much my constant companion, My knives lead a pretty hard life, so the fact that it can be replaced for about $45.00 does not hurt either.
