Since the weather is a popular topic this week.

-30 out right now but it is sunny! High of 33 tomorrow so a 60 degree swing will have people out with out coats on for sure.

Had to clear the sidewalk.

Running out of room to pile the snow in this neighborhood.

Ever hear the expression: "smoke on the water" ?? This is the Missouri river BTW.

But it's a dry cold!

I'm staying home today.  It's cold as a beotch here in Colorado.  If it weren't for the damn wind, I can deal with 10 degrees.

It got down to about -20 last night, and the truck ( diesel ) refuses to start.  No means of plugging it in as I never bought the plug for it, and never needed it ( started up in temps like this before).

Wind is blowing here but we expect it to be about 68 or so. Chilly for this time of year.

I was marveling at the low temps this morning and was wondering where it was coldest. Bismark was the first place I checked. Yep, -30 yikes!
You had Cheyenne beat by ten degrees.

True, but the slightest breeze is a major multiplier in the uncomfortable factor.

Yes, they packed the houses in tight in this development. The need for trees is high!

I spent a winter working in ND and it's the coldest place I've ever been.  There was always a nasty breeze blowing.

It was 16* here this AM and has warmed up nicely to 30*.

It is NOT a dry cold though.

It is supposed to be 11 Friday AM warming to 25- 28 in the afternoon with a rare chance of snow.

That happened with my truck a few years ago in San Antonio. The whole city practically shut down because there was ice all over the roads. So far we've avoided the ice this year but in lieu of that we've been getting rolling blackouts
