Where the hell does the weight go? I can lose 2-4 pounds with a good nights rest, how is this possible?

Exhaled water vapor and shedding skin cells. I know, gross, right?

4 pounds of sweat and skin? That is pretty gross. A pint of water is a pound.

Are the sheets all warm and brown?

Byproduct of metabolism excreted via your lungs.

When you burn wood and the ash weighs less where did the weight go?

And a little bit of carbon dioxide.  The carbon was in the form of sugars, fatty acids and amino acids.  The oxygen came from what you breathe.

Are you weighing yourself after you pee?

Wish I could do that. Seems like I gain weight.

You are still burning calories. I expect that the weight is being converted to heat. You probably have a high metabolism.

To start with, you might not have an accurate scale.

I am a real diet Nazi, and lose 1.5 lbs. overnight every night. My scale displays weight to the 1/10th pound, and I have been using it every day for the past few years, that's how I know how much I lose at night.

Remember, if you can fog a mirror, that is just part of the water in every breath you exhale. Besides if you get up and pee once, you can see how it adds up pretty fast.
