This is funny.  CHinese state TV did a segment about their Air Force doing a live fire drill, but in one part of it they show a fighter jet being shot down that is thought to be a scene from Top Gun.  Watch the video, at about 1:12 into it a plane is shot down.  Farther down the page are screen shots of the 2 side by side.
