I'll have to pull the reciept for mine but I'm pretty sure I paid about $450-$480 for mine with two extra Springfield Armory magazines and a couple boxes of FMJ ammo. Centerfire Arms in Riverside IIRC.
The prices are only expensive if you're dumb enough to pay them. It seems that if the business is packed their prices are what the market will bear ... but not me! 
I pimped mine out with some aftermarket parts. |

Only schlubs and noobs pay gun store sticker prices. Thrifty ARFCOMers make friends with an FFL, buy elsewhere, and have their buys transferred.
Wish I had mountains, I'd trade these miles of beachline for one single mountain.
