Does the firepower in the picture look scary to you?  The mosin and 10/22 look very menacing.

"If you look at the weapons, the firepower that they seized in this one house, it tells a scary story," Kaneshiro said.

Good bust!

Stolen cars, bikes, meth and the guns (2 of them already found to be stolen).

Hmm a tweeker with stolen stuff, that never happens.

Hopefully everything gets back to the rightful owners.

Ya know, I think someone sent out word you guys were picking on them. They took the pick of the guns down. (I'm assuming there was one.)

Why is it, when they bust people for DUIs they never go on and on about how many cars they own?
Or in drug busts, since they have to be moved somehow.

Stolen guns + meth head dealers. That's a righteous bust, no matter what caliber they are. Bye bye, shithead. I, as a cop, would be very proud if that was my lick.

What do ya'll expect, high speed AR15's? And it's HI, for christs sake...

Any mockery on my part is due to the media always hyping these things, like people being able to buy "high velocity" (yes, VELOCITY) magazines.  Not meant to belittle the cops or the work they did.

If you've seen the little "Journalists' Guide To Firearms Identification" that gets posted in GD now and then, that's the type of drivel we usually get from the media in regards to criminals and guns.

This guy might have been a very bad crook who stole other people's stuff.  I also understand the picture if those guns turn out to be stolen.  However, the thing that gets me is emphasizing "the drugs".   But I do get message of this and articles like it...."bad guys use and sell drugs and, see what your tax dollars are accomplishing...give us more"  The thing that gets me is this.  They also drink beer, perhaps smoke cigarettes, eat processed fast foods, and ride motorcycles....stop focusing on this idiotic prohibition and focus on getting criminals.

This article is typical.  Focus on "drugs" and show pictures of guns.   Does anyone still believe this anymore?

We need to close the gunshow loophole.  Look at that sniper rifle on the bottom right.  Criminals could stalk our elected officials at night with that army weapon.

A while back there were a couple of guys (at least one member I think) with some tricked out stuff (including a Barrett) who were at a carbine course in Florida who apparently got busted when they went back to their motel to smoke some post class joints. I seem to remember much media freaking out when they saw what they were packing. Unsure of the outcome on that one.

Wow, somebody's a little TOUCHY this morning.

I don't get the sense that anybody here likes these people, or the fact that they were drug dealers. It's just amusing and yet sad to read how the media sensationalizes what was seized. You'd think they found Saddam's bunker full of poison gas rockets with all the buzzwords they used.

Wrong, it's the same usual suspects. Besides, they could have commented on the sensational media story, but instead they made "war on drugs" comments. Explain why.

ETA:  Now we have apologists for the apologists.
