Someone is attacking the site. I didn't think it was abnormal to receive the virus-laden e-mails with a subject line of "Fun New Game" or porn suggestions and such, but this morning I received the same thing with the subject line "Gun Safes." This would seem to be directed at--who else? Rotten bastard.

Go see the thread that is in CAPITAL LETTERS that says "SATCONG!!!! SEND ME AN EMAIL VIRUS????" Its further down the page and I posted some info on how to get rid of it.

Today, I received two email notifications from my ISP that I was sent emails containing viruses. Seems that the viruses were so poorly hiden my ISP filtering software even picked them up.
Oddly enough, both emails had addresses or similar addresses to vendors who advertise on this site. Here is the email from my ISP for one of them. [red] -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Thursday, May 02, 2002 10:37 AM To: undisclosed-recipients: Subject: Recipient Virus-alert (sender: [email protected]) This is the mail anti-virus program at virusgate1.snip.net. We BLOCKED a message addressed to you from: [email protected] containing: suspicion: Exploit.IFrame.FileDownload infected: I-Worm.Klez.h This message does not contain the virus or the original e-mail message. This message is just a notification and can be safely deleted. The person sending this virus received a notification as well. The attached file contains the message headers of the infected mail. The headers will only be of interest to a mail administrator. Do not reply to this auto-generated message. All replies to this message will be lost. Please direct any comments or questions to [email protected]. Thank you, SNiP Internet and Telecommunications[/red] |

I got an email from Jarhead_22 that only says success code in the subject line, that's it.

[email protected] cannot be delivered. This account is over quota. - How about some poor guy got his mailbox completely filled with this crap and then I received the notification because the virus had attached my e-mail address. |
