Just curious as I was reading liver damage was caused by long term heavy drinking which was over 80 grams per day. I have no idea how much that is.
I somehow dont think I can get away with drinking an entire bottle every day for the next 10 years but ...... 
I figure it's say 12.5% alcohol and 750ml bottle but that's as far as I can go.

sort of weird that it is measured in grams instead of ml, but anyway 1ml of water weighs 1 gram. So that bottle of wine would be 93.75 grams of alcohol. That would be a little much per day.

ABV * Vol = Total alcohol content 12.5% * 750 ml = 93.75 ml alcohol Total alcohol * Specific Gravity (mass) = Total alcohol content in mass 93.5 ml * .789 = 73.96 grams 73.96 grams of alcohol per bottle of wine. So...bottoms up. |

Gram is a measure of mass 80 Grams is equivalent to 2.821888 Oz.avdp.
12.5% ABV of a 750Ml bottle is 93.75ml of alcohol. 93.75ml = 3.170065 Oz. So by my calculations one 750mL bottle of wine with a 12.5% ABV = ~ 3.2oz of alcohol, if they say 2.82 is bad then you are there.... I'm sure some math genius will explain the error of my math....

Based on some wine sites I reviewed I came up with numbers much closer to yours ~ 69.56g/750mL bottle. |
