Every day I read postings where people rush to judgment without having the facts.

It doesn't matter what your education level might be.

Remember the Duke Lacrosse case. A whole bunch of stuffed shirt academics, people with agendas and general aholes rushed to judgment. You had people acting out. The new black panthers is an example.

So, what is the latest on the original accuser? "Police said Mangum piled her boyfriend's clothing into a bathtub and set it on fire while her three children and two police officers were inside the apartment. " Convicted on a misdemeanor charge. Hung jury on felony arson 9-3.

There was a female temporary faculty member at Duke who was sued for deliberately failing one of the accused. Does anyone have an update on that civil lawsuit?

Well said. Besides, I thought that in order to press charges for libel you have to prove that there was some form of material harm done to the person. I highly doubt that the postings of some random internet fools on a forum is going to cause material harm to anyone.
