They are awesome live. The overblown sex and violence is intentional. They claim they are fulfilling a "consumer need" lol.
Unless you see them live or "uncensored" you get a very watered down version of what they do.

Itry to see um every year

the show this year SUCKED

they cut way way back on their stage show

was quite disappointed

but imagine they are cutting expenses like crews and trucks just like everyone else

Awesome! I met them once in Chicago, years ago. My girlfriend at the time knew their tour manager...so we hung out backstage. Also met Al Jourgensen who was hanging out there as well... That's a stage show not to be missed!

To the post above about how they sucked. It's too bad. I saw them one time and "Oderus" was in a really bad mood, and they just sort of went through the motions. It wasn't as good, but it was still something you weren't going to see anywhere but a Gwar show haha.
Other times, they were on, and it was awesome. "Oderous" is funny, the skits are funny, the music grew on me ...
I guess they might be tired of the act, they have been doing it for getting close to 20 years now I think.

They are like a musical Monty Python, and like Monty Python, sometimes they're a bit off and not funny, and other times they do bits that are pretty hilarious.

The whole act is a tongue in cheek act, not trying to be tough or scary, but making fun of the metal "tough and scary" scene.
