[:D] I know that guy, his name is Terry. I bought a Bofors AT-4 off of him, (no not with the round inside...haha you wish) Seems like a pretty nice guy, he does have random stuff up for sale once in a while. However, i do feel it's unfortunate that he would slam down ar-15.com so hastily. I bet a lot of people on this board actually are pretty financially secure. (or could be if we actually stopped buying firearms...but who in the world would do such a thing) Oh well, sucks to lose a community like u guys. |

I wonder if it's occured to this guy that maybe nobody wants his scopes, even at half price. My limited sales experience tells me that when you can buy a product cheap enough to be able to sell it for 1/2 the original retail, it's because the original price was twice what the product was worth in the first place, or because the product is an unsellable POS at any price. In recent years ALL German and Austrian products, as good as they might be, are selling for at least twice what they're worth. I've a fine Zeiss 3x9 scope that I bought 15 years ago at what was a slightly higher price than an equivalent Redfield or Leopold. Now, the same scope is over twice as high as the American equivalents and it ain't even made in Germany any more.
I think this guy is just pissed because he got stuck with something he can't sell, so he's going to blame us for his own stupidity. |
