Clearly Batman as re-envisioned by Frank Miller is about the most extraordinary individual around. He's got no "super powers" he's just richer than King Midas with an extraordinary intellect and the drive to excell in anything and everything that aids his mission.
In the end he beat Superman to a pulp through the effective exercise of technology and teamwork to maximize Batman's strengths while maximizing "The Big Blue Schoolboy's" weaknesses.
Of course that level of resources, intellect and training are nearly impossible to maintain concurrently. No-one can train that hard physically, while constantly growing mentally, running a business empire, handling difficult criminal caseloads, and constantly developing new technologies to support the effort.
But hey, we're talking about super heroes here.
Doc Savage and The Shadow are also big time favorites for similar reasons.
