So they want people to vote on the creation of some more government jobs, in this case for the specific needs of any possible interactions with intelligent Alien life? Also, just how many South Americans have come creeping into Colorado to justify having Spanish on that also? |
|
I want that job!
Hire a bunch of people here and set up the Hostile "Alien Reaction Force". |

As one of the more friendly sanctuary cities in the country, thanks to Mayor Hickenlooper...there's a lot. Hickenlooper was in my town earlier this week with his "Giddyup & Vote" entourage. Rated one pic & a short blurb on the back page of the local paper. |

Very embraassed here, that a member from OH has to point out our shortcomings.... Ah,Denver County... FU ! |
|
Stupid shit like that is why most places need to tighten up what gets on the ballot.
That's worse than the Pregnant Pig Amendment that is now part of the Florida State Constitution. |
|
I can't believe California did not get in on that first.
We always seem to be on the cutting edge of stupid. |
|
That's fucked up that it has spanish instructions as well, I expect that here in El Paso, but Denver? Where are the other languages? Why isn't there a Korean version as well - oh that's right, we learned to fucking read english when we came to the USA like most other immigrants from Europe and Asia rather than expecting the new country to fucking cater to us. I would vote Si - why the fuck not.

on the Spanish language part... Colorado has a long and rich history of Spanish/Mexican citizens. Historically, cattle and horses moved North/South from Montana to Texas/Mexico through the valley east of the Rocky Mountains. Mexican cowboys were a staple along the trail bringing their families and settling in every city along the way. Truthfully, there are very large populations of hispanic citizens all through the area... however, for the most part, they've been settled there for generations quietly being good citizens. I'd be willing to bet a beer that any Mexican in Denver going to vote 'legally' can speak and read English... |

I would vote Si - why the fuck not. I see as many Mexicans in CO as I do in TX when I visit. My mother lives in a Denver suburb, the most common kind of music I hear anywhere out there is fucking mariachi music... If you've never been there you'd be in for a surprise, I was when I first went out. Makes me happy to be a PA'er, when we have an illegal problem here, all hope is lost... |

I'm quite confident that an extraterrestrial influence already exists at Denver International.

What the fuck these folks in Denver smoking, snorting, or chugging?
They must be drinking that warm Coors from the drugstore. |
|
Dear Denver,
We're glad we're up-wind from you. Sincerely, Colorado Springs _MaH |

IIRC the population of the Denver area is 30-35% Hispanic. |

Well if you had an alien affairs officer the appropriate intergalactic language would already be on that ballot incase they show up Tuesday and want to vote too. Not just the illegal ones.

Requirement for citizenship is the ability to speak the language, no?
Requirement to vote is citizenship. Therefore......... http://www.us-immigration-attorney.com/citizenship.htm Language Applicants for naturalization must be able to read, write, speak, and understand words in ordinary usage in the English language. Applicants exempt from this requirement are those who on the date of filing:

When Denver voters were asked about major issues they wanted addressed they said, "We're concerned about the growing alien presence."
The lawmakers went on a retreat to the mountains for 2 weeks and this is what we got. |

Oh, no, it's worse than you expected. I just moved to Michigan

an Extraterrestrial Affairs Commission. The panel would promote "harmonious, peaceful, mutually respectful and beneficial coexistence" between earthlings and extraterrestrials, in part by developing protocols for "diplomatic contact."
Look, if there coming here it's for food not to make new friends... |

Several Democraps will have fat bank accounts if that passes.

I'd vote yes if I thought I could get the job. I could get paid to surf GD all day long, as this place breaks news faster than Reuters.

Sanctuary City. Hickenlooper will fast track their citizenship.

I picture a guy like Dale Gribble behind this.
I can't believe that made the ballot. Out of all the issues that need dealing with and they instead waste time on this junk. Its funny yet sad. |
