Anbody have one of these WWII German anti-tank rifles?  They look like they would be a hoot to shoot.  And better yet, I'll bet the anti-.50 crowd has never heard of them. [:)]

That's what Henry Bowman was given by his father as a teenager, along with about a boatload of ammo.  I wish I got presents like that!  Would be damn fun, make some serious noise.  Ain't a .50 though, it's a 20mm.

Ah, yes, made with typical Swiss perfection and attention to detail!

The ammo would be the real problem.

SI-1000's are BIG money.. A live AN-M2 is a lot cheaper than the -1000's..

Ammo is not that big a problem,(Considering that you've overcome the hurdle of affording such a monster..) except that some of the "fun" munitions are required to be registered in and of themselves.. (HEAT, for example..)

I've seen ONE SI-1000, and a few Lahti's..The Lahti seems to be a lot more attractive, especially after being converted to .50 BMG..
