Man Tattoos Lewd Image on Friend, Charged with Assault

A 21-year-old man who allegedly tattooed a penis on a friend's back –– instead of the image he requested –– has been charged with assault, The Courier-Mail reported Tuesday.

The 25-year-old victim was visiting the man, an amateur tattooist, at his home in Ipswich, about 25 miles southwest of Brisbane, when he was talked into getting a tattoo.

He wanted a yin and yang symbol with some dragons, but was instead shocked to discover the 16-inch tattoo was of a penis with an obscene slogan.

The key word in the slogan was also misspelled.

Should be civil, with severe punitive damages.

I guess the assault is for the alleged punching, not the tattoo.

I think it's criminal. If you went to a surgeon to have a surgery, and later found out he INTENTIONALLY lopped off a finger, that would be assault. Same thing, he defaced the victim's body without his permission.

It's the same charge as would be applied to a doctor who performed an unwanted medical procedure or intentionally performed a medical procedure not agreed upon.

I should NOT admit this, but I have a misspelled tattoo. My ex and I went out to dinner and had a few too many drinks. He already had tattoos and I decided I'd get a very small one...something cute or pretty with "Jeffrey" beneath it. I ended up with "Jeffery" instead. I even wrote it out for the guy and no it was not at his mobile home...Southern Boys in Houston. I went back to complain, but what can you do? They returned my money and offered a free "Clit piercing"...Uh no Thanks.
