Not sure if it's the Scottish humor or Nancy Travis that draws me to this movie.
Thinking it is indeed Nancy Travis. Just saying,,,,,, |

Because he puts an addictive chemical in his chicken that makes ya crave it fortnightly, smartarse!

" You know, Scotland has its own martial arts. Yeah, it's called Fuck You. It's mostly just head butting and then kicking people when they're on the ground."

One of my favorites. I love it when the Mom grabs Tony and plants a huge wet one on him.

"You know, what this room needs is a really big oversized poster of Atlantic City...oh look"
"Excuse me; I ordered a large cappuccino. HELLO!" |
|
I actually got to meet Mike Myers, and told him, "So I Married An Ax Murderer' is a great film."
|
|
The "eccentric Scottish family" part of the movie is hysterical. The "ax murderer" stuff is dumb... it's half a great movie IMHO.

Hysterically funny movie.
head, pants, now!!! piper down, we have a piper down!!! It's got it's own weather system. |

Where are pic's of Nancy Travis. She made me feel very funny in Doc Hollywood. Down there. |

Woman... woe-man... whoooa-man.
She was a thief, you gotta believe, she stole my heart and my cat. Betty, Judy, Josie and those hot Pussycats... they make me horny, Saturday morny... girls of cartoo-ins will leave me in ruins... I want to to be Betty's Barney. Hey Jane... get me off this crazy thing... called love. |
|
Great date movie...sadly Meyers became in need of a humor transplant and no longer makes good ones like this.
|
|
Harriet, sweet Harriet. So loving, so love... Ed?

He'll be crying himself to sleep tonight, on his huge pillow.
HEAD! DOWN! |

I remember when it was reviewed by Siskel & Ebert. IIRC they stated that the movie was terrible, except for the scenes where Meyers Scottish Family were depicted. If Meyers wanted the movie to be a home run, then the entire movie should have been about his Scottish Family. |

I know ... because I used to be Scottish until I became an American a year ago!! Mike Myers spent a lot of time in the UK and totally 'gets' the Scottish humor. I do love that film. And of course Nancy Travis was/is hot as hell which helps. |

"What would you say to silver dollar pancakes, fresh squeezed orange juice, bacon, and Kona coffee?" [Fruit Loops] "Sorry, I didn't have any of those other things." |

Ned's Atomic Dustbin did a great cover of "Saturday Night" for that film.

"That's the artificial horizon. It's better than the actual horizon."
"I had a dream. I was born 8 months premature. The doctors were freakin' out." |

Now this is something the other tour guides won't tell you. In this
particular cell-block, Machine Gun Kelly had what we call in the prison system, a "bitch". And one night in a jealous rage Kelly took a make-shift knife or "shiv", and cut out the bitch's eyes. And as if this wasn't enough retribution for Kelly, the next day he and four other inmates took turns pissing into the bitch's ocular cavities. (short pause) This way to the cafeteria! |

I am soooo glad I'm not the only one who loves this movie. Mike Myers was a genius before the Austin Power's sequels. My ex thought I was for laughing at this...his effin problem

Notice that alot of the stuff in this movie was later reconstituted in the Shrek series.

No.. The scenes with the friend who has the sensitive police chief are great too. Alan Arkin did a great job in those scenes.
