My friend in Haifa just received a letter from the govt there, as did his father (both veterans as most men are there). Orders to turn in their rifles - without compensation - to their local gun dealer. Apparently there will be no more hunting permits allowed either. So far no mention that they are taking away handguns. Amazing in a country surrounded and infiltrated by enemies.

Apparently competitive shooters can still own under certain conditions, everyone else has to turn their's in when their rifle license expires. My buddy has had his for 35 years. Crazy. Just got the letter apparently. |

Even Russia has always had legal hunting, even during the Soviet era.
Confiscating shotguns? Never seen that, not even in UK albeit a license is required. This is why gun registration is a very bad thing. Sounds kind of fishy though... |

You get a letter close to your expiration telling you that you won't be renewed. Word is the permit-on-demand thing went away years ago. Oddly, pistols have not been mentioned. |

I don't think so....Been Israel many times during my years as a inflight Marshall,The Israel Government guarantees, almost insist they keep weapons. Most of the military age group MUST keep their weapons at home. It is also lawful to carry automatic weapons in certain areas. So this Is BS!

You do understand that Zionism was / is the political movement focused on the return of Jews to Israel and the establishment of a Jewish state in Israel? You might want to do a little research into Zionism, its ideological roots and political philosophy, and the actual political organization of the State of Israel.
