I have about 30 USGI 20 round mags i am refinishing with perma slik G and the question I have is which of the followers is more desirable they all have the alloy fllowers in them now and are all in good shape ,so which one is better the allow or the plastic green ones?

Green followers will NOT work in USGI 20 round mags.

Their for the 30 rounders.

And yet again - keep the alloy followers, there is nothing wrong with their design unless they've been damaged.  

As for green followers they will work but require trimming of the spring attachment 'leg' for full capacity (20mm).

The gold anodizing of Adv.line 20's can be a bit unsightly, re-finishing is understandable.
