Police: Siblings confess to killing brother

The siblings of a 6-year-old boy admitted to killing their brother after his body was found early Tuesday buried in a shallow grave with a puncture wound in the neck, police said.

Authorities are holding Jackson Carr’s 10-year-old brother and 15-year-old sister in custody, Lewisville police Officer Richard Douglass said.

“It’s a homicide. They just confessed to the death and burying the child,” Officer Douglass said. “We do not have a motive at this time.”

The Tarrant County medical examiner's office says the boy died from a perforated jugular vein caused by a stab wound in his neck and of asphyxiation.

I was having a pretty good day until I read that.  I need to go home and give my son a hug and tell him I love him.  I'm not sure I would know how to handle that situation if I was the father of those kids.  What a shity situation... [v]

Poor choice of topic title on my part, not being a religious person (but should the Chicago Cubs ever win a World Series I expect the next event to be Rapture.)

However, my point was that this is so far out - like the kids in England who tortured and beat a child to death - that it boggles.  This was their little brother!

Being a father I and a sibling I know that there are sometimes when things get out of hand. I and my ex-wife kept an eye on our two sons. Yes there are times when you can't be on top of them but you should be guiding them. When you see them fighting you should be telling them that this is not the way you act towards your brother or sister.
Another issue is what they see in this world. You have to point out to them what is right and wrong.
Granted that you can try your best and things can go wrong with a child but to have one child do something such as this is comprehensible.

I hear that today the US supreme court struck down a law banning child pornography. abortion is a very real part of our culture today. many children come home from school and no one is home. many now come from homes where there is only one parent, or 2 moms or 2 dads. they are bombarded day and night with violence and sex on tv, radio, computer and video games. they hear from their teachers at school that they came from monkeys millions of years ago. and they hear that there is no God so there is no standard for right and wrong, so go ahead, if it feel good do it, there are no consequences.

since children are growing up in this modern environment it does not suprise me at all.

I grew up the same way but didn't whack out my brother. But Cain DID grow up as YOU said children should be raised. Did he not?

Man, I am the middle child.  When I was 10, my younger brother was 6.  My older brother (1 year older than me) and I seriously contemplated how to hide the body.

Strange things happen between siblings.  Lots of tension, anger, resentment, hatred, bickering, betrayal that the parent's never see/understand.

I am shocked they followed through, but the motive is a no-brainer.

And to think that there are members here who do not believe that Satan is real.

This sad story is much more indicative of the hell I have avoided than the perpetual lap dances and binge drinking so many are hopping to share with buddies for eternity.

Sounds like the kids really did it.  But hold on to the hope that they got pressured into "confessing" by the police -- remember those two little kids who "confessed" to raping and killing a playmate in Chicago a few years ago, after the Chicago cops interrogated them alone and kept questioning them in a leading fashion.

There just isn't much to say about this. Sad. Distressing. Down right scary.

Apocalypse--naw, Cain and Abel ring a bell? You would think it would be here by now if that were the case.

Not to make light of this, but a bright spot, NO GUNS. This is possibly a point to be made to those who believe that guns are the source of the crime.

The only comfort I find is realizing that one day, the siblings that did this will be 40 years old, and realizing that their pathetic lives would've been so greatly and graciously enriched had they not horribly murdered a loved one and a blood brother.

I feel sorry for the parents.  They will live with the guilt of not teaching their kids right forever.  Then again... if they are to blame (at least partially), I say screw them as well.

You heard wrong. What SCOTUS said was you can not charge someone for child pornography if the model appears under 18 but is actully an adult.

It has been common practise to charge people based on the appearance of the models rathere than their actual age at the tiem the images were taken. SCOTUS said that is unconstitutional. It should be a no brainer.
