With all the talk of bad range experiences I am wondering doesn't anyone else live in the country and shoot at home?   I have a 100 yd berm in my back yard.  I shoot every week and I have never been to an actual range.  Anyone else?

Well I usually shot my 22 in he front yard , for the heavier stuff I have to walk across the road where I can shoot out as far as +400 yds until the tress grow back .

Same thing here....100 yds from the NW corner to the SE corner.  I built a small berm, but don't have time to shoot every week, unless you count chasing the blackbirds away from the feeders with the 12 ga.

Edited cause I can't type tooday

i can shoot my $20 romanian air rifle 30 yards in my back yard. it's against the law to discharge firearms in city limits. the air rifle is good for trigger control practice.

I shoot pistol into our woodpile.

For rifle I have to go out into the field which is about 100 yds away.

Same here.  I have never actually been to an actual range.  I have several acres of pasture right in my "back yard" so I could safely shoot at well over 1000 yards, not that Im good enough to hit anything that far away though.
