Now, damn it [b]RedGoat[/b], as one who may at times find himself stuck in doorways, I find no humor whatsoever in Gore's, er, weight problems!
If you had been the only candidate of an incumbant party running in the General Election as its Presidential candidate in the history of the United States, at a time of peace and a great economy and you got beaten like a red-headed stepchild by 'Shrub' Bush, losing your own home state, as well as the home state of your political patron... Well, you might have a tendency to add a little weight as well. Not that all that's ever happened to me, I might add. I have my own, self-absorbed reasons for my excess weight. One think I noticed in all of Gore's FL breast beating: he doesn't address his "home" state TN loss in the election!!!
Ya'll wouldn't believe all the Gore defending over in Compuserve's Political Forum: "they stole the election!" "the un-elected president" "the one with the majority of votes" yadda yadda yadda When I ask why Ozone didn't win TN they're mysteriously silent!!! :) |
