Those things on tv where they show people jumping up and down and the glass doesn't spill, those are called "parlor tricks" in the sales business, things that appear impressive but have no real value in actual use, in essence they are a scam.

I've slept through a typhoon inside of a rickety 2nd story shack 'house' with no insulation or screens and walls that you can see daylight through. I don't think an earthquake would wake me up unless the roof fell on my ass.
