I have been looking for a while, just wanting to pick up a slightly used Glock.

The prices are outrageous. Used Glocks over $600

The most expensive new in the box price that I can find locally is $550.  I'm getting quotes like $525 out the door, and thats for a brand new gun.

I'm new to Glocks, has there been some kind of dramatic price decrease or something? I'm just wondering why all these guys prices are so high.

The EE is like that gun show you go to where everyone has those 20 year old boxes of shotshells and ratty holsters and beat up SKS', yet want retail+ for everything on their table.

Every once in a while, you'll find a gem, but for the most part you'll go home empty handed.

Fuck'em, buy a bran new one.

I can get an LEO model at the local shop for $550. Guys in the EE think they have gold for sale

The ones in EE have been shot and haven't exploded. With a new one you're never quite sure.

Actually I don't know. Maybe the ones in EE have been modded or something. Just get a new one.

you might as well just buy a new one.  or look on gunbroker, you might save a little money over a new one.  which model are you looking for?

My Boss just bought a brand new gen3 Glock 23 for 475.00 at a local retail gunshop here.

Alot of EE folks over estimate worth or are looking for a sucker.

You dont have to buy it.

Free market.

$600 used glocks mean the seller really doesnt want to sell it.

$525-530 seems to be the going price on the street.  NIB

i'm really wanting a 31 or a 32.  but if i found a good deal i'd buy a 22 or 23 and just drop a .357 sig barrel in it.

Im getting bored with my everyday carry. I usually carry a little snubnose .357 magnum or my springfield 1911.  I have no experience with .357 sig, but I hear great things and glock seems to be the most reasonable way to get into that particular round.

Local dealers sale bare bone Glocks for over $700 and people eat them up. Unless its a 21/20 or something with after market sights, most Glocks sit around the $480-$500 mark.

Oh dont get me wrong. I'm not bashing the EE in general. My gripe was fairly specific. I found a AWESOME deal last week, and bought a Remington 870 express with the extended mag tube and mounted side saddle. It made me very happy.

My search for a Glock has been on going for a while now.

FFL fee is about $20 here.

I find when you add it all up, it's really hard to beat Bud's for a total cost.

$550 for LEO/.mil packages? The fucking fuck?!

Check Bullseye. I picked up a NIB factory LEO/.mil G19 package there about a year ago for $420 out the door.

Every gun show I see in Va, none of the gen 3 Glocks are more than $449 w/ 2 mags. So, why buy used?

I'd keep looking then.  I just bought a used G23 with an extra .357 conversion barrel here for $425 shipped.  There are deals out there, just poke around.

And you should be able to find a new one for under $500.

it was just someone selling their Glock on the EE here.

I've bought a few Glocks from a guy over on Glocktalk that sells his for ~ $10 over distributor cost.  So a G17 is $450 plus $20 shipping.  If you want a new one, I don't think you can do better than that.

A month ago he had a used G23 for $333.00. Looked as new.

I've noticed the same trend on the local forums here.  I can buy many new Glocks locally for $489.00 +tax.  The same shop runs a $489.00 OTD special at the gun shows.   I just laugh and keep moving.

i bought my g19 from the EE, and paid $600 for it used.

of course, it was like new, had fresh trijicons, a 3.5 lb connect, a titanium guide rod, extended controls, 6 mags and 5 different holsters. i sold off all but one of the holsters, and have $475 in it, with all the upgrades and mags.

i saw a used OD G34 with night sights a while back.  really wanted it, but the guy started at $650.  we talked about it a little bit, and he came down to $575, which i thought was still too much.  i stayed away from the EE for a little while.  last time i checked, he sold it for $525, shipped.  a stock G34 with crap sights is $625+tax around here.

just gotta time it right.

I bought my like-new G29 from the EE for $700 shipped
That included 6 mags, 6 extended floorplates, good TruDots, and an extra extended/ported barrel and extra stainless guide-rod/spring...
Plus the usual in-the-box stuff.
Probably could have found a better deal, but gunbroker sucks...

I really like the guys who think... "well, I paid $550 + Tax at my "high as hell" local gun shop, so that means that when I put it in the EE, I have to ask at least $600 to get back what I paid for it."

And some of them say that they are asking $600 knowing that even if you asked $200 someone will try to jew you down, so they do that expecting to let it go for $50-75 less than that.

Depends what you're getting. If it's a gun with new XS Big Dot sights, 8 mags, a couple holsters, etc. you're getting in to money.

I just ordered my 2nd G19 for $465 delivered from Bud's. Price jumped yesterday though.

Better now than a year or two ago. I had to replace a stolen Glock at the height of the Obama gun scare. Paid nearly new price for a "used" 26 after nobody had new in stock.  It was still full of the copper grease and looked to have had maybe 50 rounds through it before becoming some dude's lint trap.
