How soon before a somthing goes bang from a sleeper cell over there?..So it's not just us arrogant Americans who are concerned about a stornger fundementalist movement....

Thankfully the constitution protects us from absurdities like this. I understand some women get shot and killed for not cooking the correct meal. Is your solution to ban the gun, or ban the meal? Hell, just keep banning stuff until people shape up, right? |

Hell, just keep banning stuff until people shape up, right? They sure as heck don't now. Banning them is just stupid. Want to make a difference in these peoples' lives? Ban beating your wife for not wearing a burkha. Also, while the French are at it, they might want to check on their immigration policies which allow polygamous husbands to import wives while all the wives live on the government dime. |

From what I've read, there are very few women in France that actually wear a burka.
|
|
The burkha ought to be mandatory clothing for about 50% of the female population I have seen in Philly

It wont be long, they just need to find another retarded human to blow himself up or succeed with one of their daily plannings, Switzerland was first to ban,but they stand out from the rest of this commie hell by having harder immigration laws, low taxes, liberal gun laws and a working police. It's prob gonna come in whole Europe, the morons who run European countries don't have a fucking clue what there doing, they serve the muslim population like whores, import them in millions and the same time they ban certain things like this......Denmark had a suspected suicide bomber who failed on 9/11,he targeted the paper who published the first drawings of their "prophet"....Europe is gonna burn once again because of the sick ideology they call communism and socialism, the question is who's gonna save them this time...

They can't stop Muslims from shutting down large portions of a city when they go out into the street to pray on their rugs to Mecca! How in the fuck are they going to do anything about women who wear a Burkha when they can't stop them from closing off streets, having their own private security to stop people from walking or driving thru etc.? There will be bus bombings in France before this is over. We'll see just how PC the french are in solving the problem too..... |

They had two bomb threats right after the vote came in. Its only a matter of time before some 'honor killings' get done.
Its just so peaceful. I think only Ghenghis Khan's religion was more sublime. |

I think I saw 2 burkas the whole time. Hell, I see more than that when I go to Dallas for a weekend. However, I do think local and State laws forbidding masks to be worn in public (except for special events) are Constitutional and should apply to burkas. |

Sigh. Most of France's muslim population is from its colonies, mainly Algeria. That culture is a lot different than the "Muslims" we think of in the US. France also bans Yamikas (sp?) and crosses.

For all of our talk of the French as surrendering pansies, I doubt that they as a people would let muslim terrorists blow up the Eiffel Tower and then allow a mosque a few yards away 9 years later.

BTW, the OP is a tad wrong.
It has passed the National Assembly and it just passed their Senate (both overwhelmingly, the Senate only had one negative vote). Now it must pass their Constitutional Committee. Which is probably will. But it isn't law yet. |

I sincerely don't care what France does. Code Civil is very, very different from our system. That said, the burka is a symbol of slavery. Abject and unarguable slavery. Even women who "voluntarily" wear them are slaves. They have just been well conditioned to think it is a good thing.
