Nice pistols, good accuracy...reliable and cheap mags/parts.

A bit big in grip for my comfort, though

Mec-Gar makes the Beretta mags, IIRC.

I have a 92fs with factory Trigicon sights. It's a very nice shooter, if a little on the bulky side.

I only wish the plastic parts were metal.

Good, good, good weapon.  I love me the 1911, but I grew up with the M9 as my primary side arm (with the M16A2 safely strapped down in the turret where it belonged).

As a torture test, I bought one cheap from a pawn shop.  It was worn, flaking, and generally beat down.  I did no maintenance other than clean and CLP for two years of regular carry/shooting as a civilian.  When I moved on, I handed it over to a buddy with no real firearms experience.  He tossed it into the center console of the truck he uses for contract work.  Drags it out once or twice a week, puts about a hundred rounds through it and tosses it back into the landscaping truck.

That sucker runs like a Deere.

What's the difference between that and the regular 92FS? Why's it more expensive?

ETA: oh i see it has a different rear sight and says M9 on the slide, what else?

The M9 in my very humble opinion has a trigger pull like a Kevin Costner movie, and the slide mounted selector switch can easily mess up a slingshot reload.
But get used to those two things, and it is a fantastic weapon.

A different hammer spring can lessen the trigger pull a lot.  I put a Wilson Combat one in my 92FS and it made a huge difference.

They used to, once upon a time.

Current Beretta magazines are manufactured by MDS, which is actually under the Beretta Holding group.

ETA - Beretta Holding controls a significant number of firearms-related companies, and has interest in yet more. I know for sure that they own Benelli, Stoeger, Franchi, Uberti, Tikka, and Sako, either own or have controlling interest in Burris Optics, and IIRC, holds interest in Browning.
