Family member just got home from school and said a tree came down on a power line down the street and the tree is on fire.

We will probably be losing power soon.

Maybe go get some pics.

We've had power lines come down several times in the last few years.  But each time, it was an automobile that caused it.  And each time, we knew immediately... huge blue flash, and the power went out instantly.

It surprised me how quickly they could replace a broken pole.  On the second-to-last time, from the time the power went out, they got the road blocked off, people out of the car, a new pole in the ground, and everything working in just four or five hours.  Way to go!
