I was pumping gas in Lousiville (KY) this afternoon when a scruffy looking fat white guy with a sleeveless shirt and "spants" came up to me and gave me a bullshit story about how he ran out of gas and could use some money. I looked at the brand new ice cold fountain drink in his hand (which he had no doubt just purchased inside the gas station) and told him to pound sand. He wandered around looking for another potential sucker but there were none, so he got in his buddy's late model F150 and drove off.

Good for you.
If I were an employer, I would tell all of them, especially the ones under 25 years of age, that their job would depend on the outcome of November's elections and whether or not the Bush tax cuts were allowed to expire. |

Grocery Stores and Gas Stations.
It has been happeing for years now. It is as common as panhandlers on the corner. And they all have the same story, and they all walk down to the next gas station to get their booze or the crack house to get that dime rock. |

It is some sort of hobo scam. They are bad down here. Had the same guy use the story of "broke down, need money to get home" twice in 2 weeks. I just said "again?" and he walked away.
