Anyone here run an ankle holster?

I am going back to my hometown in VA for a high school reunion. I need to carry my gun but I will be hugging folks and don't want to get made so I think an ankle holster would be best.

I have a Khar K9 and Glock 23, which one would you rather carry in an ankle holster?

What are good models of ankle holsters? Galco Ankle glove any good?

I've carried a Glock 26 in a de Santis almost every day for four years.

Two problems:

1. You're actually going to a reunion.

2. You hug too many people.

keep IWB and be sure to hug low so they are forced to reach for your upper body

I carry a G26 in an Alessi ankle holster when the need arises.

Most of the time it's my G19 IWB.

Or you could just put your cell phone in front of it on a fake leather holster, just for the night.

Neither are a great choice for an ankle gun.  I would just go IWB with the kahr and not worry about it.  They wont know what it is anyway

The Renegade, cozy partner is the one I choose.

Sounds like somebody got beaten up a lot in High School.

Pocket carry. No one thinks anything about the blackberry, or wallet or plain old cell phone etc etc in your front pocket.

Folks will speak down about the Unkle Mikes but I've used one daily for a LCP for about 9 months.
I also use one for a G27 and SW642. Sometimes an ankle is all that will do.

I can't hide a G27 in my pocket.

I carried the G27 in the UM ankle this weekend on a Scout backpack trip...about 9 miles total and no issues what so ever.
Placed an OEM Glock 22 round .40SW mag in my left side pocket.

I have the Galco ankle holster for my PM9. Works great. Did use an Uncle Mikes and a G27 before that.  That would be ok for a very occasional type thing, but I wouldn't want to go back to doing it regularly. G27 is just a bit heavy and tends to need regular adjustments, at least in my experience. YMMV.

Where are you guys ordering your Renegade holsters?  I searched google and only came up with one place, GMS Tactical, but they don't have what I need in stock.

I carry my glock 36 in a Galco Ankle Glove with calf strap. It did take a while to get used to the added weight on my ankle though.

I will add...a calf strap is a must for me if the gun is any bigger than a small .380 or similar (think LCP, P3AT)...

Been wearing an Uncle Mikes sidekick ankle holster with a P9 for 10 years now. No problems at all with retention. It's been a part of me for so long that I don't even know its there, and when I went on a cruise I felt like I was missing something and noticed the lack of holster/gun every waking hour.
