been kicking around the idea of getting one of these carbines for a while now. I got to shhot one in 7.62x39 a few years back and enjoyed it

unsure which caliber I want one in

223 has the range, is inexpensive, and I already have three ARs chambered in it

7.62x39 will work on deer up to about 150yds, and ammo is cheap as hell

I want one in 7.62x39, but only because it would be very easy to re-barrel in 6.5 Grendel / 6.5 PPC.

7.62x39.   Why would you want .223 when you can have a 30 caliber in the same platform?

I have one in 7.62x39.

Had it for about 2 years now.  Bought it for my son, and he's still not old enough to shoot it.  Plus I can't find scope mounts, and bases for the damn thing.

Haven't even fired it yet.  I fail.

Here's the thing. The whole reason the cz is cool is BECASUE you can get it in x39. You can get all kinds of bolt guns in .223.

Love mine in 223. Perfect size action for the size of the round. Plus, it's a Mauser pattern. Great trigger and it shoots 50 gr vmax and some Varget into 5 shots under an inch.
I really want to get one in 7.62x39. Maybe two and rebarrel one to a ppc.

unsure about the 7.62x39 because I've heard that some are tack drivers in it while others are pretty bad

that, and that I don't reload as of yet

Pretty sure the only rings that work are the ones sold by CZ. It's a dovetail type of set-up like a .22. CZ sells them for about $50.

Whichever one you go with is a good choice, I've got a 527 in .22 Hornet that has killed a truckload of critters. Excellent accuracy, lightweight with a set trigger. Hard to beat for a walking rifle-
