Why do I find myself wanting one of these?  Out of the whole SU16 line, I think they look the best.  Should I say fuck it and fo?  It's gotta be better than a Mini-14, right?

When they come out with the STANAG model in .223, it's getting short listed.  Supposedly, it's in the works.

Looks a bit fugly in those materials. If it had a wooden stock I'd like it more. The site lists them at $770, I'd rather get a DPMS AR-15 or something like that.

DPMS RFA3L16 PTHR LT16 223 COL = Price: $749.99 before tax

I paid 580 for mine, and I'd do it again.  It's incredibly fun, and the heavy barrel and gas block sight guarantee consistent accuracy.

Fo!

Great little guns, I dig mine.

Pros: Better then a mini-14, takes AR mags, folds up, no "evil features" if you live in a state that worries about such things, cheaper then an AR.

Cons: Factory mags are useless (don't even bother with them), bipod sucks (Replace with railed forend), takedown pin easy to lose (replace with ringed pin from Home Depot).

Dunno if I would wanna take one into combat, but for a play gun, they are pretty cool.

Make a nice truck gun.

Yep, I like all the rails too, flashlight and optic would be easy adds.

I want the one that takes the 9m glock mags.

I missed my chance to pick a used one up with six glock 19 mags for $150.00 $175.00  it had the grip cut down.

At the time I only had a glock 17.

Kicking myself for not buying that.

Edit it was 175.00 for all six or 150.00 for just the gun and three mags.

He would have thrown in two G17 preban mags for a total of $200.00 as well.

Edit2: It has a round count of around 1000 WWB, I don't know if that really would of changed anything though.

they look really cool, my buddy has one not very happy with it, the way it sends the empty's down the tube for ejection is less than reliable he has sent it back to kel-tec twice now for the same problem, but this is the only one i have seen so far he may have just gotten a lemon, but they do look reaaly nice, kinda on the heavy side.

If they fit in a pack easily then I'd want one... don't know if they do though.

If it can fold up to be shorter than a 16" + flash hider  AR-15 upper I'd get one.

All the pics aside....I've been using a SU16C with no ill effects.....can be fired from the closed position.....and would take it over a mini 14 for accuracy and the ability to use AR mags.....not as robust though.

WTF happened in the pics though?......run over with a truck or did it blow up?

They are fugly POS's. I'd rather buy an SKS or a WASR over one of those shitboxes.

With Kel-Tec MSRP is always really high compared to what they actually sell for, for example there is a NIB su-16ca for sale on gunbroker right now with free shipping for $499.

I'd like to take this opportunity t to say I love my Mini-14 almost as much as my AR's. They're rock solid; if all ells fails you can use them effectively as a club, reload and start shooting again. This rifle dose look like someone was drinking at the press and used the wrong powder.

I've been wanting one for a while. As others have said it looks like a great truck gun. I want the one that actually folds all the way, not the folding stock. It does everything a Mini-14 does (light, compact, handy) and more (accurate, AR mags, picatinny rail) and at a price that wasn't dreamed up by a room full of crackhead AIDS monkeys.

My wife has had her eye on a Kel-Tec Sub 2000 for a while. I've got a hardon for the RFB and I'm kind of interested in the PMR-30, too. I own a P-11 from them and while it's not as refined as a Glock or Sig, its price isn't on par with them either and it is plenty reliable. The company makes innovative, quality products at an affordable price. I wish there were more companies out there doing what Kel-Tec does.

Does the gun move around in that bag? Like if you were to shake it would the gun turn around and make it obvious that whatever was in there was not a laptop?

+1  There really is no one else going out on the line like they do with innovative mass production stuff.

I've been happy with all five of my keltec pistols, fired a couple of their sub2k and su16s and they seemed good enough.  Haven't fired an RFB yet but front ejecting is a big turn off.

I'd love to eventually see a "premium" line from them, with beefier (and more metal) components, improved fit/finish, etc.  I'd gladly pay 25-50% more for some of their guns if they could do that.

The gun is snug.....corner to corner is snug....and the thickness is about like a laptop....the mags are snug when all is zipped and velcroed.

Just heavier than a laptop....
