I still have my AOL email.
 Can you still use the AOL account through going to aol.com on IE if you stop paying for AOL?

Hard drive pollutant....good riddens!
The AOL.CompuServe Stuff is a bad memory....you bringing it up it like parachute pants or something! 
I would like to know if it is still accessible? Kind of like 8-track! |

I have AOL. I don't use it as my main e-mail, as an ISP, or a web browser. I just use it for the chat, where I go to the same chat room I've been using for about 8 years. I've been talking to the same people for that long, and met a bunch of them, so I just keep AOL so I can talk to them. It would be nice to move to another forum, but oh well.

I had a PC shop with a friend back in 97-98. I remember *vividly* sitting with a customer and trying to explain the Internet to him. He had AOL.
He simply could not comprehend the idea that you could get to the Internet without going through AOL. The idea of an ISP and not being hand-held along the way to Internet content was so alien to him I might as well have been speaking Klingon to a fish. |

My parents...
 My dad has been using computers since the 80s when the first desktops began showing up, he has always built his own computers and knows how to use them but for some damn reason I cannot convince him that he does not need to use AOL to access his email or the internet
