The sight smelled like burning death for MONTHS after the attack.
New Yorkers who worked down there had to live with that stench and the memories it dredged up for all that time. The burning smell of a thousand rotting neighbors. And there you are, every day, with your coffee and bagel. 9 years later, look at how distracted we are... |

Billions of dollars in war debt and a Mosque going up blocks from the 911 site ??

Other than being an American citizen and losing a cousin/friend in Iraq, I have no ties to the event of 9/11.
That being said, a day doesn't go by that I don't think about that door, the evens of that day or the families then and now that have suffered so many losses at the hands of so few. |

I remember watching it happen on the news clear as day. Witnessing the human remains from the Pentagon being brought into the morgue at Dover AFB, DE will be seared into my mind forever.
