Excellent.

Had seen it before and would recommend it to anyone searching out a good sci-fi miniseries.

I think I'll get the books...  Just a good story.

The sci-fi channel series? It was ok. I liked the older movie from the '80's.

The book was far better than either of them.

You don't like hearing about the life and maniacal plans of a half-man half-annelid drugged out psychic fortune telling space tyrant who keeps cloning his father's best friend over and over and over ?

Oh, that one was written by Frank Herbert too.

Really the only good one was the original book.

I must not fear.
Fear is the mind-killer.

Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.

 I will face my fear.

I will permit it to pass over me and through me.

And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.

Where the fear has gone there will be nothing......Only I will remain.

Dune Messiah/Children of Dune are decent...but yeah they start going off the rails at God-Emperor and dont get me started on the stuff his kid and Kevin Anderson put out.  I tried a couple of them before I learned my lesson.

The TV mini series Dune and Children of Dune were excellent.  Plus most of the women in them were SMOKING hot.

I like the David Lynch film.  Extended version fills in a lot of stuff that was left on the cutting room floor in the original.

I was at the start of the first mini-series but it grew on me once I stopped trying to make it mesh with the books and original film.

Second mini-series was excellent as well.

Re-read the books every few years (I'm overdue).

Read the first book that Herbert's kid did and never bothered with the rest of them.

I need to get the David Lynch version.  Word is that Herbert like that version although it didn't do well at the box office.

Got it on DVD... about once a year I pop it in and enjoy.  Children of Dune is good as well.
