Tweaked it for me.

Also, shooting. Because shooting is ALWAYS a normal weekend activity. Will have to get some reloading in beforehand, so depending on weather, I might not have the SV out until Sunday.

My wife puts this on:

Touch A Truck

to 1:00p

at Tennessee Riverpark, Chattanooga, TN

Children have a fascination for and enjoy exploring large motorized vehicles. At Touch-A-Truck, they will have the opportunity to observe up close and have hands on interaction with a variety of trucks, service rigs and other motorized vehicles.

Fun activities like arts and crafts and games provided by child serving agencies and organizations assure that children and parents will enjoy the day.

Attending a 9/11 memorial service on Riverside Drive in Manhattan at the FDNY Memorial.

Remembering where I was and what I was doing that fateful day in 2001.  Remembering it was a strange set of circumstances that I feel I am alive to this day.  Being filled with hope and humility and anger all in a short period of time.

Giving thanks that I am still here to perform a job I love while others were not so fortunate.

Rear (drum) brakes on the Suburban.  Leaking wheel cylinder, so I'm just replacing both cylinders and shoes.

Start on removing the engine from my Jeep.  Installed a new clutch and the slave cylinder is defective.  I'm not getting on my back for another weekend of removing the transmission and T/C, so I'll just remove the engine.

Saturday I am not planning doing much.  I might take some more stuff from the garage to the storage unit.

Sunday morning I am going to shoot a pistol steel match but Sunday night Mike Huckabee is going to be speaking at my church.  Not a huge Huckabee fan but I will go listen to him.

Still trying to get my Mom's Mustang running on Saturday (2001 with 7700 miles). Sunday is our church picnic (weather permitting).

Will probably also work around the house, especially on the new patio we're building. Maybe look for a new home office chair if time permits.

I picked up a 1978 GS550E earlier this year as a project bike - still less than $700 into the whole deal, including a brand new set of tires.  Barring any further unforeseen issues, I should be in it around $750 all said and done. It won't be "like new", but it's cleaning up nicely.

(My normal ride is an '02 SV650S.)

No, not really. Road rash and a stiff back. Had a fellow run me off the road Friday on my motorcycle. Totaled it, road rash from my left butt cheek to my knee. I'm still fairly gimpy, it's hard to completely stand straight up on my left leg.

It's starting to heal up nicely, but it's still really tender.

Glad it wasn't that serious.  I've had road rash the size of a football.  I hate it.  Sorry to hear about your bike.

Thanks...It was almost paid off. I love that bike. I did everything that I want to do to it. It was everything I wanted in a bike and nothing that I did not need.

I think I will take some time off...after the first of the year, I'm going to start looking at bobber frames and I'm going to build my next bike.

What kind of bike did you lose?

I built a custom about 3 winters ago on a hard tail frame and salvaged HD engine.  I rode it about half the summer before I realized I needed shocks.  I used to cringe at the sight of pot holes.  Getting old I guess.
