I may have the oldest of the thread! Model 1879 'Cannon barrel' Reichsrevolver. Made in 1882 at the Oberndorf (would in a few years become Mauser) factory. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v477/DriftPunch/reichs.jpg I really want one of these, but the price always drives me away Ever fire that hand-cannon? |

This is my favorite. I take it out of the safe and shoot it about once a year. http://i377.photobucket.com/albums/oo220/cashbailey_photos/DSCN0898.jpg I have officially added you to the list of people that I envy. DO WANT. |

Let's just say it's no longer in that same condition I have 3 other DW's, A 15, a 15-2, and a 44. I'm always on the lookout for another SuperMag Beautiful revolver! How is the .445 compared to the .44 Mag...ballistics wise? |

Anyone shoot any Colt SAA's ? Not Rugers, not an Italian copy but Colt's?

The late Tiger really liked my Dan Wesson .357. http://members.cox.net/southparkmilitia/images/critters/Tiger_Dan_Wesson.jpg Great pic dude. My first cat was named Tiger when I was 8 yrs. old in the 3rd grade –– 1965. He was a kick ass tomcat and lived long enough to purr for my newborn son in 1978. |

I still have a little room to push it faster. I just got in 100 more pieces of brass, so it's time to load up some thumpers! |

Word of caution: It gets a wee bit noisy, especially indoors and at covered shooting ports with low roofs. |

I feel safe an confident in the guns ability to hold up to the onslaught of my miniature ICBMs |

I am starting to appreciate the simplicity and reliability of the revolver. I only have 2 so far. S&W 38 and a Taurus .22LR. Welcome to 1847... |

I had no idea Enfield made pistols! Details? The No. 2 Mk. I Revolver is a top-break revolver, like the Webley series of revolvers. It looks externally very much like a Webley, but has different internal features. The No. 2 was the standard sidearm of the British Commonwealth during WWII, though there were many other pistols used (Webleys in both .38/200 and .455, S&W Victories, Inglis-made Hi Powers, etc). The .38/200 round (case dimensions basically identical to .38S&W, but the bullet weight and powder charge differed) is anemic at best and one wonders how it ever got accepted as a military cartridge. The No. 2 Mk. I originally had a full hammer and could be fired in both single-action and double-action; later revolvers had the hammer bobbed and were DA only, these revolvers have the designation Mk. I*. Most older revolvers were converted to this pattern when they came in for service, but mine was made as a Mk. I*. -Mark |
