The rocker switch on my TLR-1 is perfectly placed to activate with my trigger finger while I have my finger in the "safe" position along the frame.

I say "no" to unnecessary wires and crap hanging off your pistol.

I have only used one, and it was a lower end model.  I worked ok, but I had one major problem, if you just lightly applied pressure it would burn a hole in your finger.  I guess if the two plates got close enough the current would arc between the two.

I had a buddy holding it at the range and he let go of it like a hot potato.
