It is pretty cool. You can go on there and type in a song or artist and it will create your own personal station based off the initial request. Of course it is free. Check it out |

I use it on my droid in my truck. The sound quality is better than anything on my ipod. I use it every day and really enjoy it.

|
Yup, it was better when it was free with unlimited time though.

I use Slacker. Seems decent so far. It does kill the battery pretty fast...

Yeah, but it is only $0.99 after the first 40 hrs, for the rest of the month. I just had to pay mine today. 50 hr weeks sitting at a desk sure make me listen to a lot of music. |

Guess I'm the only one that pays the $30 a year. Figured I use it often enough I can support them. No 40 hour limit, no more adds either. And you get a dedicated app for the desktop too, not just the phone, plus increased quality to 192kbps instead of 128. Yeah i know i could just pay the $1 every month but I think its worth it considering how often I use it.
My pandora 80's station kicks MAJOR ass. |
|
Hum, I listen to it all the time at work, easily over 40 hours total in 2 weeks... never had to pay anything. I think the adds are annoying, but I understand them. Just wish I could get more than 5 skips... like maybe 10 or so.
|
|
I like to use it in conjunction with Grooveshark.
I find new music that I like with Pandora, and then go listen to it on Grooveshark. |
|
I pay the 36 bucks a year.
I also use saver2 (google it, its like the 3rd choice) to slurp down everything I listen too. Great combo. - G |

Do you get unlimited skip if you pony up? Unfortunately you don't get unlimited skips, I believe you may get a couple more than normal though. The really nice feature is it will play for 5 hours without interruption, whereas the standard forces you to click "I'm Still Listening" fairly often. This comes in handy every time its a BBQ Sunday. Also since there are no commercials, if you happen to hit your skip limit on a particular station, you can just select another similar station, or create one instantly, without having to listen to those annoying ads first before it start playing. |

|
I also really like the fact that it will give the artist/group's biographical information and lyrics.
Love it! |
|
Yeah, it's not bad! Only time I use it is if I know I'll be stuck behind a computer all day though.

Pandora was one of the first apps to be put on my Droid.
Pretty cool how it works. It's turned me on to quite a bit of new music I had no idea I liked. |

I use Hobocopy, it's a free low-level backup utility that can get around the file locking pandora does. Pandora downloads the current song to your Temp folder as "flaxxxx.tmp". |

I use it all the time. I have about a dozen stations. Pandora is great!

I have it on my Evo 4G. Probably only use it a couple hours a week. I'm really liking StreamFurious since thats how I can get WCPE, the best classical station I discovered while on a trip to NC. Great station.

Yup, it was better when it was free with unlimited time though. Yeah, the $36 annual fee for unlimited listening, no ads, and 100 separate stations is killing me. Guess nothing to eat but bone marrow for another month. |

Must be the Saturday night Pandora Thread
Listening to it right now, You Wish by Nightmare on Wax |

I use Pandora and Slacker at home, slacker on my droid. Sending the audio and video to my stereo/nav in my truck. Really cool to be able to see the album covers and artist info while listening.
Will not use Pandora on my phone since loading the app demands access to my contacts list and location. Why the fuck does it need to know who's phone numbers I have on my phone. Some of my clients would not appreciate their unlisted and closely guarded phone numbers shared with a 3rd party. |
