Chig lover!

ETA: It's the same reason Firefly only had one season, the people at Fox are retards.

On the poll, the X wing.

But I just started watching "The Last Starfighter" while I am working out, and I have to say the Gunstar was one sweet design.

I will still say X wing though.

(Side note: They are supposedly making a sequel to The Last Starfighter...)

OK.

F-302s have been flown by MacGyver, John Chriton, Lou Diamond Phillips and a brown haired guy that looks like Woody Woodpecker.

X-wings have only been flown by Mark Hamil, whose only other noteworthy movie was about trying to recover his stolen corvette.

Cylon Raiders fly themselves and are essentially little more than self propelled target practice...same for TIE interceptors.

Wraith Darts are flown by guys who can suck the life out of you and, they have this cool beam you up thing, like a flying vacuum cleaner for people.

The Viper Mark VIIs all got blown up before any of them could shoot back.

Impossible choice.

Too many vie for Number One to me.  F-302, Starfury, Vipers, Starfighter (Buck Rogers) all make me warm and fuzzy.

Funny thing is I'm listening to the BSG soundtrack as I type this (Prelude to War).

Oh, and anyone on this thread will probably like this...

I'm partial to the B-wing in star wars myself. Not as fast or maneoverable as the X-wing, but it packs a lot of firepower. It's like the F-15E of the star wars universe.

TIE Defender.

What a machine.   It's at the top of the heap in power, range, firepower, maneuverability, defensive ability, weapons loadout...even creature comforts!    Its biggest weakness is figuring out which side of it's the top and which side's the bottom.   Makes it a bitch to land!

Imperial technology at its best is really something!

That relic?

Yeah...sure.   Believe that if you want to.

Gunstars are cool but they're not very modern.  TIE Defenders are so modern, even the Empire's engineers haven't figured out how they work yet!

Andromeda's Slip Fighters are FTL capable, though I'm not sure if they have energy weapons.
