So long as you're not building them to sell, you likely won't need a FFL.
Also, build your own. It's cheaper, it's easy and gives you a sense of pride. |

yes you need an ffl for transfer of a lower reciever

You have to buy the lower through an FFL.
Unless you find a FTF private seller in your state. Everything else is not considered a "firearm". Waitaminnit. IL? You need to check your local laws there Sparky. Parts of IL you need a license to THINK about a gun. |

you should be able to put it together with a vice grips it is not like building a nuke. go tto the armory section and look at the walkthrough

Yeah that is pretty smoking. the stripped lowers in my gunstore are all marked more than than that complete one.

$0.75 1/4 inch clevis pin from Lowes, Home Depot, or any other hardware store makes a nifty Front-takedown Pin tool, and saves about 8 bucks over the commercial versions. |

I priced out a bulid with that lower, the RRA lpk and stock would put me right at 200.
That one for 170 is a pretty good deal, but I suppose you could squeak close to that not using a name brand lpk and stock. At 200, it saves about 40 to 80 bucks depend on where you got it for a complete RRA lower. So not sure how much it is worth. |
