This has been discussed countless times in the zombie forum, but what the hell.
Out of my personal arsenal I'm grabbing my SR-15 and sig P226 X-Five tactical (though both are fairly new to me, so I may opt for guns I have more trigger time on). I'd skip the third gun to carry more ammo. If I could have anything I'd have: HK UMP 45 with suppressor HK MK 23 with same suppressor (I have huge hands, so it fits me well) I'd skip the third gun again to opt for night vision and more ammo/food. The idea being that audible gunfire will bring both zombies and hungry/under supplied arfcommers with guns. |

Well since zombies don't exist I'll pick shit that also doesn't really exist. I'll have one of those things you ride around in with that mech warrior game.
It will be armed with a flame thrower, a mini gun with unlimited rounds, and 60 mm guided grenade launcher. and each of my big feet will have swords that pop out for kicking people. Now for a real situation: Remington 700 tactical 300WM w/ IOR Valdada 6-24x50 illuminated reticule (MP8) Armalite AR15 middie G21 My wife will carry M1A Super match in a JAE100 stock with IOR-Valdada 6-24x50mm illuminated reticule scope Benelli M4 12 gauge G21 |

3 weapons? Who carries three guns? Who CAN carry 3 guns?
If it's TSHTF, it means me and mine are hunkered down at the ol' homestead. And we're not coming out except to coordinate with neighbors on neighborhood patrols, or to go looking for news and trade. Neighborhood patrol means Sig 556 and a 1911. Going out means a concealable pistol (1911 or USPc9) and some sort of long gun (Sig, AR variant, or Benelli Nova) in the vehicle. Oh, and I always carry a knife. Even now, when TS has NOT HTF. |

RRA suppressed M4ish, not sure whether it would wear the ACOG or the Aimpoint. Glock 22.
There are other rifle setups that I might prefer depending on what kind of SHTF or what I was doing. If I was foraging or out for a long walk, I'd probably bring along a .22lr conversion kit. If I was specifically hunting, I might grab a shotgun, but I'd just as soon shoot birds on the ground or out of trees in a survival situation. I can't imagine I would ever carry more (or less) than two firearms at the same time. ETA: upon further review, it occurs to me that having another suppressed weapon would be handy. In that case, I would also carry either my 10/22 or my Walther P-22 and my Outback II. |
