"After nearly 20 months in a row of private-sector job losses, we've gained jobs in the private sector for eight months in a row," Kaine told Fox News host Chris Wallace. "There were some net losses over the summer because the Census [jobs] phased out. But we have the private sector growing again... We've had a net turnaround from negative to positive. It's clear that we have a long way to go, but we've just got to keep at this. We are climbing out of the ditch."
Hmm. If this is true, why were there 472,000
NEW unemployment claims last week?
Do they expect me to believe that
more than 472,000 people got off of unemployment and got jobs last week? After all, the only way to have a "net turnaround from negative to positive" is to have a greater number of people
gaining jobs than losing them.
Why do I suspect that "someone" is being less than honest?
ETA- Isn't it still true that the "official" unemployment numbers do not consider the number of people who are "unemployed", yet are no longer receiving unemployment benefits?
