I had a few loads of fill hauled in from an old factory where they are redoing the parking lot. After a rain I found a few old bottles and other junk including these.
Any idea what they are?  OMG!!!
Have I unearthed a stash of FLUX CAPACITORS? |

Definitely not a dikfer. I guess if I smoothed them up they could make an adequate substitute.
They look like cast metal but are very light. Also have a metallic "tink" when tapped. One is covered with something that feels like mortar, looks like cast iron but is not heavy and is fairly crumbly. |

They look like boring bars. Used on Lathes. I'll get a pic in a minute.
The one on the left looks like it has a set screw mark on it. ETA:

They look like carbon electrodes from a foundry, one still has slag on it.

Carbon electrodes. The green at the top (cupric carbonate?) is where the electrode was attached to a copper conductor.

A carbon electrode used in a foundry makes sense. There was a foundry on the property years ago. Are there any other uses for them or are they just junk?
