Wed Apr 3, 9:52 AM ET
By CHARLES J. HANLEY, AP Special Correspondent

KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) - The U.S. government should "do what's right" and consider compensating Afghans who lost family members in misdirected American bombings in the war that toppled the Taliban, the head of a U.S. congressional delegation said Wednesday.

"We should take those claims seriously," Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, R-Calif., told a news conference as his delegation wrapped up a one-day visit to Afghanistan (news - web sites).

Excuse me, but the fact they got some measaure of freedom seems reparations enough. Must the US compensate the entire world?

The only just thing for us to do is compensate the families of the hundreds or thousands of innocents we have killed...
as soon as the afghans compensate us for the millions of lives we saved from starvation by ousting the taliban....

I'd be glad to pay the families 1 Million per wrongful death case.

If they all pay us for the cost of Ordinance dropped on that sorry-ass excuse for a country.

More bombs, no reparations.

I'd like to see that aHOle congrASSPOS set the example by donating one year pay to the cause.

Maybe the constituents should be forced to back Rohrabacher's statements.  Then we'll see how enthused they are about voting him/her back into office.

We should send them a check for $99,000,000,000,000,000,000 to make everyone in the world happy.

Oh yeah, and we should tape it to the biggest damn nuclear bomb this country can build!  Let those MFers try to spend that money when it a few thousand degrees fahrenheit.

And we should send then entire democratic party (along with every politician in CA, MD, and NY) in advance as gesture of our kindness
