Who is up for the second annual Mid-Missouri Shoot?

Last year was a blast even with the rain.

Post here or send me an email and we can work on a date that will work for most everyone.

edited to see if this can be tacked at the top

I thought the same range we had it last year was a good spot.  It is approximately 7 miles north of Columbia.

The range is a Conservation Dept. range and they have no restrictions on what you shoot.  We had some NFA items last year.

I figured a pre BRC shoot to get us warmed up for the big event.

What does everyone think?

Well since I live less than 10 minutes from the range, I have to say hell yes.

Last time was a blast. I was really suprised to see how many people showed up last time with the weather and all. Man that was a good time.

Last time was on such short notice alot of people didn't even know it was going on until after it was over!

I'm pretty much game for any Saturday or Sunday. Did you have any weekend in mind Medcop?

Medcop, I see you got around to it while I was posting. Again, I'd be up for either weekend.

I think it may be fun to have it in late april. Kind of a warm up for the big dance.

Just say when.  The only day I can't is April 27th.  Doing a qualifying pistol shoot for the pd that day.

I just noticed the poll at the top.  Guess I'll have to qualify quickly and head to Columbia.  :)

Hopefully I will be able to attend this time.  I had to work last time.

How about a tack to the top?!

misanthrope747,

The last shoot lasted pretty much all day.  I suggest we start this one around 9 or 10am.

M15A2,

Ask off now!  Heck, you can ride with me.

If it is not raining I can bring my B-B-Q grill and we can cook some burgers or something.

April 27 will be tough becasue all of the people I work with at the store are going to go to prom so that leave me and another kid to do all the work.  I can possibly swing a morning but May 11 would be better. A Sunday would be fantastic.

Medcop, sure I'll ride with you...I will have to buy some ammo from you.

Is a Sunday better for anyone else.....I can't change the poll but post away.

Sundays are usually better for me also.  It's always nice to see a lot of different toys.  If worked out well beforehand, I have an FFL and can purchase ammo at a good discount.

Sundays would work well for me also.

Medcop,
I sent you an email about the LE mags we talked about on Sunday at the gun show.  Will you have any available soon?

Maybe I could ride over with "TheHappyBlaster"...  If so, is this a C3 friendly range..?

My wife will be out of town on the 27th, so that's perfect for me!

Our fall shoot was great!  A little crappy weather, but it didn't last long.

I'll try to make it again, but I might be out of town that weekend...

I'll try to make it also depending upon business trips.

Tim, I believe they had FA at this range at the last shoot, so I guess it's cool. If you and Jon wanna carpool, I can take the wife's minivan. Would be great if you guys can come & bring some of your artillery!

The was a Thompson, a Sten and some MACs.  No uniforms showed up after the fun began, so I assumed it was allowed or cleared before the shoot.

Just to clear up the subject, YES full auto is ok at this range.

It is a free public range, and has no restrictions as far as what you can shoot. Including .50 cal. and class three weapons.

As long as they're legal of course. [:)]
Link Posted: 4/10/2002 5:40:31 PM EDT
[#23]
Yes, you can bring Class 3 to this range.

I can get Federal American Eagle .223 55gr FMJ boattail for $80 per case of 500 rounds.

If anyone wants prices on anything else let me know.  I can bring it to the Mid-Mo shoot or the BRC.

I will give it until the end of the week and go with the poll % to set the date and time.  I can mass email everyone and post here.

I have this listed on assualtweb also.  If anyone wants to post on other boards please do so.  The more people the better.

The range is only 100 yards at the longest so you 50 cal guys will not have much of a challenge....but it is still fun!

The 27th is out for me, Im pretty sure I'll be pulling a 12 hour shift, but if it works for everyone else at least post some pics. [:D]

Hey everybody.  Glad to see another mid-MO shoot being organized.  Last year was fun, and I've got 4 new EVIL rifles and 2 new C&R rifles since then.  Man, I'm sick.[:D]
I'll try and make it, especially since I can't make it to the BRC(drill weekend).  The only negative w/ the 27th is that is the KCI expocenter gunshow weekend.  I guess I could go Sunday.  Been overseas and have'nt been to a show FOREVER.

Anyway, if someone promises to let me shoot a .50 cal, I'm there no matter what!

Pick it from a major highway if possible.

Looking forward to this.

Sweet, I'm there.

We need to plan for food, either BBQ or going out somewhere.  I could go for more BBQ Wild Wings. [:P]

Sounds like we might need more than one grill. I can bring mine as well.

I'd also be happy to sport for some burgers, dogs, and buns for the cause.

Man, if some of the people from assaultweb who came last year show up we might have a damn good turnout!

I'm totally psyched already.

BTW, if anybody needs directions feel free to email me and I can help out. It's pretty easy to find if you can find I-70.

I vote for the BBQ...I will bring my grill and some grillin' grub.  Here is a map that I sorta' borrowed from Branson over on assaultweb that he had made up for the last shoot.

Mike,

Bring the wife (and the venison..hehe)  My wife will be there.  I am bringing my BBQ (gas grill) and would let you borrow it to cook some deer..mmmmmmm  yummy!  I think I have a couple packages left in the freezer that I will bring also.

Okay...it is official.  Sat. April 27th at 9AM rain or shine!

Hmmm... Would have been a great excuse to visit the family in ST. Louis AND haul the "dreaded assault weapon" with me. HOWEVER, the girlfriend and I just went to Kauai for five days last week, and I'VE HAD ENOUGH OF THIS "SECURITY" AND FLYING SHIT!!! If it ain't close enought to drive to within 8-10 hours, I ain't interested in seeing it or doing it. If "they" change all this window-dressing security bullshit, I'd gladly go. [soapbox]

If anybody is rolling from the Springfield/Branson area maybe I could hitch a ride with you. Actually if there's enough of us going from that area I have a conversion van we could all go in. Just don't have a license to drive it. So if someone could help me out let me know. If there gets to be enough of us we can roll the pimp van if someone else drives...

Woo hoo!

I'm now about 99% sure I can make it!  My plans to go out of town fell through.

Should be even better than last year by the looks of this thread.  We might have to take over BOTH sides of the range this time...
